VeloNotte with the support of the Department of Courtyardology commissioned by the Festival of Small Rivers invites you to a symphonic Bicycle Evening in the vicinity of the metro Voykovskaya.
The repertoire of leisurely bike tours - contemplation of various architecture: from the triumphant variations of classicism to a quiet five-story building, several barracks from the 1930s and Grand gestures of brutalism. We remember the fate of the geniuses of science, design, and just good people who contributed to life of the area.
Let’s start with the microtoponymy - from Buchenwald to birdie.We dedicate these 6 VeloSera rides to Princess Ekaterina Romanovna Dashkova - the reformer of the Academy of Sciences, a woman of outstanding destiny, which has lived for several years in the Mikhalkovo estate, which we have explored carefully on a walk with historian and folk singer Yulia Teunikova in 2004 (who was there with us, who remembers?).
